Community Partnerships

Support youth in your community through a Scouting partnership.

Building relationships with organizations who share our vision

Scouting relies on community partners to enhance the program and provide more opportunities for our youth to learn and grow. There are a variety of opportunities to partner with Crossroads of America Council for a mutually beneficial relationship. If you or your organization is interested in partnering with Scouting in central Indiana, see below for contact information to discuss a potential partnership.

Activity or program partnerships

The Council partners with community organizations throughout the year to offer Scouting programming, family discounts and “behind the scenes” experiences at attractions and events. Activities range from educational STEM experiences to “Scout Nights” at local sporting events.

An application process is required. Please contact the program department by email or phone at for more information.

Personal Management Merit Badge Partner

We are thrilled to share a new partnership between OneAmerica Financial and the American College of Financial Services, introducing the Know Yourself, Grow Your Wealth program to Scouts BSA, Eagle Scouts, Explorers, Venturers, their adult family members, summer camp staff, and full-time staff members.

This initiative expands on the Personal Management Merit Badge, offering 14 comprehensive course modules covering Financial Wellness, Cash Flow, Credit, Debt Strategies, Taxation, an Introduction to Investing, Insurance, Risk Management, and more. The program aims to empower learners in personal finance, fostering meaningful relationships with financial well-being.

Upon completing at least two modules, staff members, Scouts and their families will receive an exclusive invitation to a reception with OneAmerica Financial’s top executives at the downtown Indianapolis OneAmerica Financial building, including information about internship and employment opportunities. This is an invaluable opportunity for your Scout’s financial education journey.

After School Scouting

After School Scouting provides Scouting programming to nearly 3,000 youth in a nontraditional setting, where trained adult leaders prepare weekly programming and serve as role models. The program provides scholarships for registration, uniforms, handbooks and equipment to ensure students receive the full Scouting experience. The Council has partnered with local public schools, charter schools and community organizations for After School Scouting. Weekly Pack/Troop meetings, centralized events and camping opportunities are a few of the hallmarks of our program. Community partners are sought to provide leadership, materials and programming to encourage youth participation.
