Teaching kids how to overcome life’s hurdles
Scouting for Tomorrow is an in-school Cub Scouting character education and life skills program that teaches all youth, grades K-5, how to overcome life’s challenges and develop skills needed for success in school and life.
Scouting For Tomorrow utilizes the Cub Scout program to provide real-world application to lessons taught in the classroom. Cub Scout requirements mirror 25% of state education standards for elementary school students. Scouting For Tomorrow is delivered by part-time program staff using 20 lesson plans in school classrooms. The Scouting program benefits teachers and students by addressing ongoing character and life skills gaps. Students in Scouting for Tomorrow learn teamwork, problem solving, respect, responsibility, citizenship, anger management, care for the environment, and the satisfaction of helping others, just to name a few.
Launched in Fall 2021, Scouting for Tomorrow is expanding to more schools in central Indiana.
Now Hiring Part-Time Program Leaders
Scouting for Tomorrow is looking for part time program leaders to deliver basic life skills and character education modules in elementary, junior high and high school classrooms in Indianapolis and the surrounding counties.
Interviewing is the last week of July. Positions begin the second week of August. This is a paid position with flexibility to make your own schedule at 25 hours per week. Leaders are expected to set a positive example, be motivated, and self-confident. Must be 21 years old, have experience working with youth, and have an automobile with insurance. Training will be provided.
