2017 Sale Timeline: March 1 - April 14
The annual spring Camp/Discount Card sale allows Scout units to raise funds to pay for their summer Scouting program. "Camp Cards" are discount cards sold for $5 each to the general public. Unit commission is 50% on each card ($2.50). Funds earned from this fundraiser may be used for any Scouting or Exploring purpose -- to purchase equipment such as tents and backpacks, summer camp and activity fees, high adventure trip, uniform, handbooks, membership fees, etc. Camp/Discount Cards are meant to complement, not take the place of, popcorn sales in the fall.
This year we are excited to offer three types of cards: the Camp Card for Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing units, the Exploring Discount Card for Exploring posts and the STEM Scouts Discount Card for STEM Scouts labs. Each card has the same vendors and offers. The front of the card has been changed for each programs.
How Does My Unit Get Started?
1. Choose one adult to serve as the Camp/Discount Card Coordinator.
2. Through your unit committee, decide HOW your unit will sell Camp/Discount Cards.
5. Return unsold cards and payment to any council service center by May 1, 2017.

Marsh Supermarkets - Marsh stores will allow Scouting units to sell at their stores, but only from March 20 - April 14. (They support the Girl Scout's cookie sale, so this prevents both Scouting organizations from "fighting" over sales space during the same timeframe.) Please contact your local Marsh store manager to schedule a sales date, time, and arrange other details (i.e. table needed). The council does not coordinate unit Marsh storefront sales. There will be no online registrations for Marsh storefront sales for any districts or units in 2017.
All other vendors do not allow storefront sales. Please do not contact local or corporate Dick's Sporting Goods or Shoe Carnival stores (or any other vendors) to request storefront sale dates.

2017 Camp/Discount Card Timeline
January - February
Camp/Discount Card promotions at District Roundtables
January 11 - February 10
Units submit Camp/Discount Card orders online
Deadline to place initial unit Camp/Discount Card order (to have by February 27)
Camp/Discount Card Pick Up Day at council service centers (8:30 am - 7 pm)
March 1 - April 13
Council will accept initial and additional orders online
April 15 - 20
Units collect all unsold cards and money from Scouts and parents
Full payment and unsold card returns due to council service centers
Deadline to pay and return unsold cards - May 1, 2017
-Cards may be returned in any increments and must be in excellent condition.
-Payment due to the council is $2.50 per sold card. (Unit keeps the other $2.50 from customer purchases.)
-Failure to pay by this deadline costs your unit an additional 25% commission on each card (i.e. instead of paying $2.50/card, you would pay $3.75/card).
-Camp Cards will not be accepted for "returns" after May 1st and become the financial responsibility of the unit.
